Selling to Japan - virtual workshop

3 July 2020

OBM, in association with the Japan Desk of Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce (TVCC),  is offering a virtual workshop, “Selling to Japan”.

With the recent launch of free trade negotiations between the UK and Japan, aimed at building on the existing trading relationship, knowledge of Japanese business culture will become even more important for those businesses seeking to take advantage of the opportunities available.

This half day course will first help companies and individuals to understand the key differences between the way in which UK and Japanese companies operate, communicate and make decisions.  Based on that understanding, the course will focus on how to sell in Japan.

This course is designed for:

  • Senior management, company directors and all staff who are seeking opportunities to export, to join a trade mission, or to identify a Japanese business partner.
  • UK businesses who already trade in Japan by themselves or through distributors and wish to improve sales.
  • UK companies who have Japanese investors or owners and would like to understand Japanese business culture and mentality.

At the end of the course, there will be a workshop to learn basic Japanese business etiquette, including useful business Japanese to impress your Japanese contacts.

For more information on the course content and how to book, please head to the TVCC website
