UK-Japan Collaboration in V2G (Vehicle to Grid) Technology

08 September 2017

At the LCV2017 exhibition (Low Carbon Vehicle Show,  on the 6-7 September at Millbrook, UK), Japanese and UK companies (OKAYA&CO.Ltd, Nichicon Corporation and DriveElectric) signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) to launch one of the first V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) Chargers, which will be released late summer 2018.

We (OBM) have introduced and supported the partnership over the last 1.5 years and now the three companies exhibited together at LCV2017.   We were extremely pleased to receive an overwhelming amount of interest during the exhibition.

This partnership between the three companies is one of the fantastic case studies deriving from a regional link between Thames Valley (UK) and Kansai (Japan), which we have supported since 2012.

We are very pleased for everyone involved with this great achievement and would like to express our gratitude to all the government officials, Chambers, companies, universities, and everyone who has supported this initiative.
