UK- Japan Social Entrepreneurship Symposium( UCL - Osaka collaboration)

27 July 2017

UCL hosted UK- Japan Social Entrepreneurship Symposium.  In this third UK-Japan Symposium, Osaka and Social Entrepreneurship were featured in commemoration of Mr. Tomoatsu Godai.

Mr. Godai studied at UCL 150 years ago and became the founder and the first Chairman of Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry.  He is also known as a serial entrepreneur and a important influencer to the Japanese society and businesses.

After UCL and Osaka University agreed to co-host the symposium, OBM was asked to get Osaka’s industry and government involved.  We made introductions and facilitated discussions between the organisations and eventually Osaka City and UII (Urban Innovation Institute) became sponsors as well as speakers at the symposium.
