Global Innovation Forum 2019 in Osaka (10-11 October 2019)

8 August 2019

Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and O-BIC (Osaka Business and Investment Centre) will host the Global Innovation Forum 2019 on the 10th and 11th October.  Masako Eguchi-Bacon, MD of OBM, also the Japan Desk representative of Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce (TVCC), has supported the selection process.  Out of over 60 applicants across the world, two technology start-ups from the Thames Valley region, ZapGo and Helix Technologies, were selected.

In the Forum, a total of 17 start-ups from eight countries will give product demonstrations.  There will also be a pitch session, B2B meetings and networking with Japanese companies.  Technologies include AI, IoT, Digital Health, VR, Image recognition and Autonomous driving.

OCCI have arranged for the demonstrations to take place in the heart of Osaka’s busy city centre, where businesses including major blue chip companies, start-up incubators, government organisations and popular conference centres are located.  The venue is also adjacent to an important cultural and retail centre.

This will be a valuable opportunity for the start-ups to promote their technologies and products not only to businesses but also to individual technology enthusiasts.

Masako will attend the Global Innovation Forum and report the details afterwards.

The event details are shown on TVCC news and the OCCI website (Japanese)
